Hey there! Turned on my D1708 and it shows only white screen&has no audio, everything seems normal other than that.. Power indicator works, when I put a disc in it’ll try reading it, do you guys have any idea?
Hi, When you say “…it’ll try reading it,…” is the disc actually spinning or can you just hear the lens shuttle moving back and forth trying to read the disc? If you’re unsure, place the dvd disc in a remembered position in the player e.g. place it so the writing on the disc label is not upside down when looking at the disc and then start the player, allow it to try reading for a few seconds and the stop it and check the position of the disc. If it hasn’t moved it may be a drive motor problem. If it has moved it may be a lens problem.
