At startup, my Samsung plasma TV, model #PN58A550S (about 10+ years old) keeps cycling on and off with bad screens for about 10 - 15 cycles until it comes up with a good picture. Then it is fine until I shut it off again.
@squeemey this could be an issue with your main board as well as your power supply. It will help if you can describe this “keeps cycling on and off with bad screens for “ a little better. We would need to know if the TV turns physically off and on by itself until it finally turns on with a good picture. Remove the back of your set and take a look at all the baords. Check teh power board for bad capacitors (leaking or domed looking) as well as otherwise damaged appearing components. Post some pictures with your question so that we can see what you see.
