I need to remove my asus rog g751jm laptop’s camera due to some reasons and I am confused because it is touchscreen so I am a little bit worried what could happen
Hi, It may be easier to just disable the camera in BIOS. To enter BIOS press F2 during POST. (after power on but before Windows boots) Once in BIOS select Security tab, then select CMOS camera and change to Lock. Press F10 to save changes and to exit BIOS. Here is an image of the BIOS menu page taken from the User Guide (p.88) I have highlighted the setting that you need to change.
(click on image to enlarge for better viewing). To safeguard the change create an Administrator’s password (see p.89) for the laptop. That way no one else can enter BIOS to make changes, without knowing the password. DO NOT forget the password if you choose this option
