So, my left hinges of ASUS FX504GM was broken due to impact while moving. I was turning around, the laptop inside the bag, and the left hinges hit with a wooden door. When i opened up the back cover, unscrewing it all (teardown), bits and pieces of plastics was found. The hinges was never the same, It wobble at times when closing and now it is in dire state as it create a crack sound (?!) every time i lift the screen up. It is a sound that you usually heard when you try to pry open the back cover. The LCD bezel was bending and opened a bit at the bottom left corner when i try to lift the screen up. That’s where the sound came from. Now, i wouldn’t even dare to close the screen (flip it down) as the hinge became stiff and the bezel would pop open a bit. So, i’m looking if there is a video out there that shows how to open up the screen/hinges part or repair/replace it? (please, share the link.it would mean a lot! Thanks!) or this question itself is worth to consider for making a guide video on how to replace/repair/teardown the screen part. The available video mainly shows teardown of the board parts and none of the screen parts. (for ASUS FX504 that is, not sure on other model) Either way, it would help a lot if any solution is available. Thanks in advance! Cheers~

I also have this issue and I thought that only changing the bezels would be enough, but it looks like that my left hinge is shattered. So I will have to buy hinges and replace them. From opening the laptop to upgrade parts and to check the damages I know: Other than the 2 screws in the front, the display bezel is held on by snaps. Be careful when opening the bottom, since there is adhesive holding the inverted/screen circuit board right where the ASUS logo is. For the hinges, there are the mounts points in the display bezel and there are also mount screws on the bottom. From this video: https://youtu.be/if_qq-co1Gw?t=109 you can see the bottom mount screws, right under the bottom panel. Unfortunately, since I need to buy hinges, I will have to delay my own repair attempt until I get them. Good luck to the others who also have this issue.

Same problem here, left corner hinge doesn’t seem to be working anymore, has become loose and when I open the laptop the front and back screen casing starts to split apart exposing circuitboard and wiring.

Here is the best video for teardown of Asus FX504G. https://youtu.be/4fXLGr3TxcA See 13:00 for bezel/screen disassembly. You can remove the bezel without detaching it from the bottom of the laptop. Remove the two screws hidden by tape and use a plastic prying tool to carefully separate the bezel from the lid. There is a thin line of adhesive on the bottom of the screen. Take care when separating that part. ALSO NOTE, before you disconnect any cables, you will have to remove the battery and power cord or you risk blowing a fuse. See first part of video for removing battery. I fixed my hinge/lid issue by soldering the broken flimsy hinge arm, drilling holes through the three places where the screws were, replaced the 3 screws with 3 bolts inserted through original screw holes using the original nuts as spacers (they had become detached from the plastic seats which had also broken), and attached nuts on the back side of the lid. I taped over the nuts for with duct tape to soften the edges. Not pretty, but it is held together firmly.
