Chosen Solution
Hi there! Decided to pickup a new hobby this year, electronics repair! I’m a noob. This switch pro controller had a drift stick problem, only a minor drift stick issue. I unsoldered the stick and put a new one on, but the drift stick is now worse. No matter what joystick I put on, the behaviour of the drift is EXACTLY the same. As you can see in the image below, i think there are some ripped pads. If it’s even possible, how can I fix this? Or is there a work around with the soldering iron that I can perform to get this controller functional? Thanks!
Hello, As I can see, the pads are ripped but not too badly, so make sure the pins makes a great contact with the pads; you can also try to add a little wire (without the plastic shield) if you cant make a contact. Also to make sure the pads makes a great contact, you can try to clean them with IPA (Isopropyl Alcohol) and a Q-tip. Hope you can fix it !
