Hello, I’ve replaced my apple watch 3 GPS screen assembly, and got no touch. I’ve tried force restart, cleaning the connector with Iso Alcool. But I’ve notice a sticker broken on the bottom half of the ribbon cable. Or do you know hos to diagnostic a broken cable ? Thx!!
If you have a torn ribbon cable it is game over. The black tape broken is not a problem. I have documented my own problem with no touch after replacement and had to reseat the ribbon cable in the display screen connector for touch to work.
Have you removed the battery before replacing the LCD. If not, remove the battery first and with display connected and press the power to remove any static charge in the components. It could give a chance. Careful while removing.. Don’t use too sharp objects as spudger and double check the battery connector while replacing.
