Chosen Solution
I replaced the battery and the trackpad on my 2015 retina macbook. Afterwards, when power is attached it does not boot however the power chime sounds, the apple logo and progress bar flash for a second then the keyboard lights up for a few seconds, then all goes dark and it’s dead. From the above symptoms, it appears that the keyboard, screen, power and speakers are connected but the system is not functional. Any ideas?
@cjb16 - Review this question as your system is very similar! @oldturkey03 answer is spot on. MB 2017 won’t turn on - how to diagnose before moving to logic board? Sorry I wasn’t that helpful, we have the Boston Marathon running this weekend which has pulled me away.
