Chosen Solution
Just shut down. The screen now displaces a LOCK symbol in black, a picture of a battery in black and the time it froze. Tried conventional reboot methods to no avail. Also no luck in hooking it up to computer. Any ideas? Thanks much, Tom
Swipe up to bring up the control center and then click the lock/unlock icon on the top-right of the menu to engage/disengage the screen lock.
