How do I get this hex nut out. My bit just keeps spinning over it
Use one that’s about the same size, but is slightly smaller and still fits over normally. This usually works to deal with stubborn ones. If you’re finding it’s still being stubborn, you will need a driver with more torque. The issue is it was tightened more then it should when the phone was assembled at the factory. This isn’t the end of the world but you will need to match the force used to have a chance at removal.
What that screw is is a stand off screw. Since its not a common screw driver at all, use a very small flathead screw driver. If it helps please give this answer a like, it would be much appreciated!!!!
Not sure if iFixit sells it, I’m sure they do, but there’s actually a bit that is shapped like a hexigon, I have a screwdriver that’s H2.5 (Hexigon 2.5mm) and it’s a perfect fit.
