Truck won’t start when anti-theft light is blinking. How do I reset it?
1, Try turning the key and moving the shift from park to drive and back. Then try starting it again! 2. Try your spare key in case the chip has failed in your primary key. 3. If you get it started, go to an Auto Zone and get a computer read out to see if it will tell you what the issue is. UPDATE 6/20/29 Use the trunk to first lock the driver door then unlock it.
I have a 98 Ford F-150 , and I hooked up jumper cables to battery. Theft light came on and now won’t start! How to reset theft light? So truck will turn over?
Blinking theift light want start
Some anti-theft lights blink by default ( a small red light near the dash, for example is there to warn off thieves ). If this is some other type of light then disconnect your battery (negative first then positive) for 30 minutes and reconnect in reverse order (positive then negative). This should reset the computer. You will loose presets in your radio.
Mine does the same thing. I just hit the “unlock” button on my keychain remote and it starts right up.
Turn your key on and let it on unhook your battery for 20 minutes then with the key still on hook your battery back up.should fix your anti theft light.
Try unhooking the positive battery cable with the switch on.Let unhooked for 15 minutes.Than hook cable back up with the key still on.than shut off and try to start.It worked on my f150.

2010 ford egde “anti theft falshing fast" door ajar light stays on. Check wires under e brake pedal. Left foot wore threw 7 wires cut em clean. Reconnected wires protected with a pc of carpet rolled around the bundle of wires after. Fixed my problems
I have a mercury mountaineer 99. I broke the immobilizer ring after my 1yo flushed my keys and well i didnt realize the immobilizer was even there like a rookie i broke it replaced it and ignition destroyed old tumbler . pulled toilet later found keys . managed to get old tumbler to work. So i have original key. Only 1 came with it !!! Light blinks like crazy will turn over no start . also code 11 blinks once and then a again a sec later . ive tryed everything read the codes no codes but the check engine light is on? It doesnt stay on for 1 sec let alone 3 when turning on? Its already been bypassed with a push butten start before i bought it . ran great till i lost the keys and switched out the ignition. Ive disconnect and pulled all kinds of fuses none are blown and relays check out. I found another relay box underhood passenger side under air filter ? Another one under the dash in the middle just above the gas pedal ? Somebody ive already lost enough money spending not working please help
I have 2001 f150.I had the windshield resealed and then did a reset .I turn the key on and unhooked the positive battery cable for 30 minutes with the key still on I hooked the cable back up.took care of my anti-theft light.starts right up now.

I have a 1997 Ford Expedition the anti-theft light is blinking. I lost the security chip out of the key. And I had two other transponder keys made and took it to the Ford Place and they wiped the computer system playing I guess but they said these keys are programmed to the truck but the anti-theft light is still blinking and will not start. I took the fuse out for the anti-theft light still won’t start what else can be done

Turn your key on and unhook the positive cable,let unhook for 15-20 minutes, and hook back up with the key still on.should start up.
Close the doors and lock them then take your key put it in the driver door now lock, lock, unlock. And your theft system should be reset and off now you can crank it up
This anti theft crap is the biggest load of crap I’ve ever seen. Snowplowing, got sucked in ditch, got tugged 10 times to get it out drove home no problems, shut it off and open led door and alarm started blaring. Nothing would stop it. And now no crank no start. I had to remove the horn relay because it wouldn’t stop blaring the horn. Absolutely embarrassing. Then turn key to run and jumper small terminal on solenoid to crank the engine over to start it. Seriously this is the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen on a vehicle in my life. This is my money making rig and now everytime the plow motor kills the engine i have to get out to restart it. Effen trash.
I broke the sensor inside of the key it broke out of the glass casing what do I do to get it started without it can I disconnect the death sensor and reprogram the ECU without the death sensor connected to it,?
Mine did this as well come to find out it was cuz the security chip in the key was damaged so the vehicle thought it was stolen when I tried to start it. Got a replacement key and my vehicle started right up.
