Ok, I’ve got the MacBook Pro 2016 15" model with touch bar. I believe it has a damaged LCD. I’ve heard that this device is eligible for a screen replacement free of charge due to the anti-reflective coating, is this true? I’ve noticed that it is quite hard to clear the laptop and I’ve noticed issues with smudging. Will apple replace the display free of charge, despite previous damage? Thanks in advance. Edit: Here are the pictures

I’m not sure if this is due to the broken LCD, but I’ve had trouble clearing smudges on the display in the past, not sure if it’s related.

So far Apple has not acknowledged any issues with the screens with the newer 2016 & 2017 models. Depending on the damage, Apple may not replace it under warranty. Did you get AppleCare + service contract? When did you get your system month wise?

Apple has extended free repairs of anti-reflective coating issues for select MacBook and MacBook Pro models. I would check and see if your model is now covered as this list is a couple of years old. Eligible models, listed below, qualify for a free display replacement within the four-year coverage period. Check your receipt to determine the exact purchase date of your MacBook or MacBook Pro.  • MacBook Pro (13-inch, Early 2013)  • MacBook Pro (15-inch, Early 2013)  • MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2013)  • MacBook Pro (15-inch, Late 2013)  • MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2014)  • MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2014)  • MacBook Pro (13-inch, Early 2015)  • MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2015)  • MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2016)  • MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2016)  • MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017)  • MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2017)  • MacBook (12-inch, Early 2015)  • MacBook (12-inch, Early 2016)  • MacBook (12-inch, Early 2017) https://www.macrumors.com/2017/11/17/app
