Hello everyone, i have a samsung phone with amoled screen it was dropped and the screen went black diagnoses:
- the screen is not cracked
- tried another display the phone works fine
- the flex cable is not damaged
- the connectors are good now what i need to know what is the cause of the screen going black is it one of the matrix’s of the screen glass or something else is there a way to test what actually is wrong Thank you in advance.
quanta portal it is the actual AMOLED screen that has failed. Unlike other screens that may keep a partial display or show lots of lines and streaks, when AMOLED’s fail they stay black. “tried another display the phone works fine” clearly identifies that you need to replace the screen to get your phone repaired.
This is my second phone with the same “black screen after lateral impact”. Everything is perfect, since I’m using it on Dex. The other phone was a Sony Z3, the same cause and problem, tested it on MHL, works well. So, the price of a Samsung S8+ screen is like the same of a entirely A21, it’s not worthy replace.
