My amazon firestick has stopped working. I have changed hdmi port, power source and tried all the instructions from amazons site. The firestick isn’t even showing anything on screen
I had a short in the extender. I removed it and plugged my stick directly into my HDMI port and it worked fine.

i tired removing the extender first didn’t work ! so i tired a different HDMI Port and it work
What I did was I unplugged the FireTV stick hdmi, and then plugged it in without the hdmi because technically you don’t need it. Once you plug it in it will reboot and everything will be normal. You can then plug the hdmi back into the fire tv stick and it will be fixed!
I had the same problem, I’ve just taken the adaptor off and plugged into a different HDMi port and working fine now
Talked to 4 different customer support firestick agents over 3 days. Everyone read from the same book and went thru the exact same procedures. Finally I was told that I had a software or hardware issue and my only alternative was to replace it. Warranty ran out 2 months ago! I love my fire sticks, I have 5 of them. I hope that this isn’t a common problem.
Have you checked the power source? If not, cross-check the power source and cable of firestick. Use wall adapter, not the tv’s USB to power the firestick. If firestick remote is not working, try using a firestick remote app which also works as the best alternative to the physical remote of firestick.
You can also restart your device with your remote. To do so, press and hold the select button and the Play/Pause button at the same time for 5 seconds or until you see your device restart. Lastly, you can restart your device by going to Settings→ Device→ and hitting Restart from your Fire TV menu.
I just stuck mine in the fridge for 10 minutes to cool down. Worked like a charm!
I changed the HDMI extender. Problem solved! Tony, Dublin
I had the same issue and tried unplugging everything, changing batteries in the remote, and even changed cable. I finally unplugged everything, took batteries out of remote and left sitting for about 12 hours. In the morning I put the batteries back in remote, plugged stick back into tv and once I turned everything on, I let that sit for about 5 mins and it worked! Everything is working. Frustrated that this can happen and something I’ll prob have to deal with frequently from now on.
i dont exactly have that kind of problem, mine is stuck on the boot screen. ive changed the HDMI port and plugged it into an outlet and it just stays right on the boot screen.
My picture freezes for split second then jumps back 2secs to play what you just saw 2secs ago.Done all the usual things to clear space.
