I have a 6S that is a bit weird. It goes to the Apple logo then recovery mode. it always enters recovery mode, even when updates successfully, it keeps entering recovery mode. No error code appears because the update is successful. I’ve disassembled this and the board gets warm when updating, not hot like it has a short anywhere but quite warm. Really weird one this and I’m not 100% sure what testing can be done to figure this out, possibly testing certain voltages first?
I have had issues with phones saying they completed updates successfully but really don’t. How are you recovering it? I have had much better luck connecting it to a computer and using iTunes to push the latest operating system to them. Let us know if that worked!
Try leaving recovery mode by holding the power button and the home button to hard reset it, or plugging it into a computer and using 3u tools to exit recovery mode
I have this same issue with an iPhone 6s Plus I’m working on. It is able to receive and install the update and restarts like it should, but immediately goes to recovery mode after that. I’ve seen this a few times in the past but haven’t had the time to sit down and dig deep into why this is happening. Trying to resolve this without data loss, but haven’t found a resolution yet.
