I have a 2012 MacBook Pro and am having problems with the WiFi. Depending on the boot it would either work sporadically, not turn on WiFi even when selected, or say it didn’t have any WiFi hardware installed. I‘ve been using this computer since 2012 so I know there is WiFi hardware installed! I recently replaced the AirPort card following the iFixit tutorial. This fixed it for about a day but now the WiFi will refuse to turn on again. Is this a bad card again? Any ideas on what else the problem could be? Thanks
A common issue with this system is the Airport cable needs replacing. Here’e the IFIXIT guide you’ll need to fool: MacBook Pro 15" Unibody Mid 2012 AirPort/Bluetooth Cable Replacement and the needed part MacBook Pro 15" Unibody (Early 2011-Mid 2012) Airport/Bluetooth Cable
