The airport/Blue tooth card Im looking for is part number 661-4766. IFixit parts is suggesting a similar but different part for the 2011 MacBook. Will this replacement work?
The 2009 15” MacBook Pro AirPort board, Apple P/N 661-4766 sits within the Clutch cover with the antennas. It only offers WiFi as there is a second board for Bluetooth.
The 2011 15” MacBook Pro uses a combo board which is also larger AirPort, Apple P/N 661-5867 and sits within the main case
You need to use the correct part for your system.
