Hi! So I spilled water on my MacBook Air (2015) a couple days ago (about 5 days). I literally did all that I could after to dry it. (flip upside down, air fan, keep off for days, etc.). I turned it on two days ago (after 3 days of drying), and the battery showed up as not charging even when plugged, and the area near the logic board seemed to get hot, so I turned it off right away. Today (after 5 days of drying since initial spill), I opened up the Mac and wiped off the dust and checked to see if there was anything visible (none, that I could recall). Today, compared to 2 days ago, the battery charged! BUT, it still seemed to heat up way too quickly so I once again shut it off right away. Would anyone know what kind of problem I may be facing? Will it require a new logic board? thermal paste? I’m so lost but I don’t really have the financial ability to buy a new Mac at the moment.

You’ll need to pull the logic board to inspect the other side MacBook Air 13" Early 2015 Logic Board Replacement. I’m sure you’ll find some spillage on that side.
