I dropped my phone and had screen replaced. Its a galaxy5 i paid to have the screen replaced it was working but flashed off once the first day it kept turning a grey purple color i keep going back to the repair place and they said they would order a new screen im wondering what would make it work and then shut down over and over now it wont power on its only been a week ive gone several times and feel like i got screwed

Faulty batteries can also cause issues such as boot loops. Meaning the device will start to power up for a few seconds, shut down, and then will continue to do that. If there are any stores that sell battery’s near you, I would see if you could get a new battery put in to try and boot the phone. I’ve seen this issue daily aswell at my place of work and 7 out of 10 times it solves it.
