I replaced the battery from iifit. I have black and white vertical lines on the screen. I have taken it back apart 6 times and reset every cable and no difference. Could something else be wrong? Has anyone else had this experience with an ifixit battery? Could it be the wrong amperage/voltage compared to an Apple battery?
Try a new screen. Sounds like it’s damaged.
Every time I’ve seen lines of any kind on modern screens (Vizio, Samsung, Sharp, LG, Apple) the source was damage. Granted, all I’ve seen was impact damage, but modern tech is good at finding new and interesting failure modes. It sounds like you’re adept at disassembling your device, so replacing your screen shouldn’t be hard.
