Hi, I recently replaced my mid 2012 13” MacBook Pro’s battery. The replacement went smoothly. After doing so, my device will, without warning, shut down. This occurs both on battery power and while plugged in to the adapter. Sometimes, after I restart, the battery indicator says it was at the same power level as before. Other times, it will drop down to empty, even when it was previously reading ~30% or greater. I have reset the SMC and zapped the PRAM. Attached is a screenshot of my coconutbattery results

Update (11/26/2018) As mentioned above, here is the coconut battery data from my old battery (after an hour or two of charge)

Coconut Battery is showing that the battery is really trying to charge up. But it is still on recharge cycle #1. so it hasn’t even charged once. What was happening with the old battery? If possible I would put it back in, try to charge it for several hours and then post the Coconut battery results on that one. UPDATE 11/27/18 Before returning the battery, put it in a calibrate it. Remove the battery and try using it without the battery for a while. Your Mac will be very slow without the battery, don’t freak out if it’s acting slow. Tell us if the random shutdowns keep happening without the battery.
