Chosen Solution
The machine was running low on memory and was quite hot, I decided to power it off by pressing the physical power button. It was attached to the power cord. The machine cooled off and since then it’s been dead. I took it to the official apple service and they claim the motherboard is dead. Is there anything else to try?
Sadly there is little you can do here without swapping parts out to narrow the problem down.
