The new Battery Management System on MacOS 10.15.5 Update may have caused it. Because before the update, I can use it under 10% and there’s a battery low warning, and it sleeps when reached 5%. But now, it suddenly shuts off when the battery have 20% left. The next day, it’s around 40-50% battery and the macbook just shuts off. I’ve tried resetting the SMC, and now im trying to recalibrate it by charging to 100% and use it till it’s used. But still, 40% shuts off automatically.
Does anyone have the same issue after the update, or is it just me? If it’s just me, then it’s the battery.,
Thank you.
I have the same issue, the same Macbook, you’re not alone. It also started with the update, tried everything, no avail.
Hello, You can check the battery condition in the entry saver system preferences and disable battery health management there to rule out any issue with that feature. Regards Michael
