I recently replace the bearing/clutch assembly in my LG Direct Drive Top load washing machine. With that repair came a new what LG calls a “tub hub” as well. After the repair I ran a cycle to make sure everything worked. As the spin cycle came on - it started spinning incredibly fast and made sort of a thumping noise. I thought maybe a balance issue so made sure the machine was leveled and tried a cycle again - this time with a small amount of clothing. Same thing - spins REALLY fast with so much noise (can hear 2 floors up in my house) AND there were some plastic shavings left all over the clothes when the cycle was finished. What could this possible be? Any ideas?

I’m having the exact same problem. Bearing assy replaced and now it pins way to fast causing thumping and shreaded plastic. Did you ever figure this out? Thx! Steve
