My Iphone 6 has a horribly weak connection with my house wi-fi. Unless I’m in the same room with it, it looses connection. I’ve used this wi-fi network for a long time and it’s never been like this until few days ago. My other family members using the same wifi has no such issues. I’ve tried turning off and back on the wifi settings, turning my phone off and back on, disconnecting and reconnecting to the wifi, switching off my router and putting it back on, and resetting the network settings but nothing worked. I have no clue why this issue suddenly occurred and it’s making me uneasy because unless I’m really close to the router, I can’t use the wifi in my house. Please help me regain stable and broad wifi network.
How comfortable are you with opening your phone and working on it? More than likely the wifi antenna needs to be replaced. I have performed this repair plenty of times and the wifi antenna is usually the problem. A restore probably couldnt hurt, but you would need to make sure to have your phone backed up, so that you dont lose any data.
