Chosen Solution
I have an iphone 6 plus (jailbroken) with a red screen of death. This happened after a screen repair… I have tried recovery mode and all that stuff. But it will not boot, when it tries to boot the red screen just pop up and it tries again. When i try to update or recover it, the thing flashes red and i get an error on iTunes. I have also tried disconnecting the camera cables. I also tried to send it in for service on a applestore and it just got returned to me when they found out the screen was not original. (Maybe try again with the original one?) I don’t see a way to fix this, i have tried for more than 7 hours (with no luck). I am considering selling the thing for parts and just use an old iphone 5 and then buy the iphone 7 when it drops. Please help me, i am begging for this phone to work. All suggestions are appreciated. :)
Could be a few things. This is what I would do. Attempt a Hard reset, by pressing the power and home button until you see the apple logo. Disconnect battery, remove EMI shield and screws, connect battery and test. Disconnect battery, remove EMI shield and screws, disconnect front-facing camera, connect battery and test. Disconnect the front camera and test. Disconnect the rear camera and test. look and see if EMI screws got mixed up, inserting the large screws into the two smaller threaded post will permanently damage the logic board.
