So I have an Iphone 5s with a weird problem. Symptom 1: needing to put in my password after restart. but I hadn’t restarted it and it had battery left. I decided this was random and ignored it for a while. Symptom 2: turns off randomly. Not too hot, not low battery, just suddenly off. Symptom 3: Turns off randomly and wont restart even with holding the home and power button for a long time. 30 minutes to a few hours later it will restart. -while this is happening if it is plugged into iTunes it says its not working right and needs to be reset. So far I’ve reset it (5-7 times) and with different iCloud account. Worked fine with a new iCloud account (for a couple days) until i used safari then the problem came back. Apple says its a hardware problem and I need a new phone. I thought I’d check here before giving up on it. Currently it works as long as something is going on all the time, like an app playing music or making noise. I’ve had it going with no crash since friday evening by playing a white noise generator. not a great fix, but its going… Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Edit: still working as long as white noise is playing. Anyone know what goes on in the phone when it’s locked and idle?
Had this issue before, I don’t think anybody has a solution yet for it on 5S.
