New post since I didn’t solve the problem ———- Took apart my DS to switch something inside, now it won’t turn on and is 100% dead unless I hold the battery a certain way and push it in the battery piston thingys. When I place it in the housing it shuts down. Why is this happening? I haven’t used this 3DS for more than a year-2 Max so i don’t think the battery is the problem. Is the battery not making contact with the pistons? I have put up a video which shows the issue. Have been trying to fix this for days and no solutions. Please help.

Hello World this “hold the battery a certain way and push it in the battery piston thingys” sounds like your battery contacts are not touching the battery properly.

Make sure that the housing is not pushing against the contacts and that they are properly seated. You can try and gently pull those contacts and see if they are bend or you could try to solder on to those. Of course, you can also replace the battery connector which will require desoldering the old connector, finding a replacement and then soldering it onto the board.
