Hi, tried to use a 3DS XL I haven’t used in a while, I have 3 3DS games, Pokemon Y, Rayman 3D & Animal crossing. Rayman 3D & Animal crossing give error “There is nothing inserted into the game card slot” Pokemon Y shows up as inserted but when selecting it says “This game card could not be read” Stranger still if I insert a standard DS game Professor Layton the game runs fine. I have tried to clean pins with rubbing alcohol, I’ve checked pins for any damage, can’t see any. Anyone have an idea?
Have you tested your games on another 3DS? The problem might not be your 3DS but rather the cartridges. Did you clean the cartridge pins? If not try cleaning those. Alcohol is not always the best cleaning option – I’ve heard about people cleaning their cartridge pins with vinegar, making their games load again.
