Hi I just recently replaced my battery in my iPhone 7 Plus and now the 3d touch stopped working and I didn’t replace the display. If were to open my phone again could I reuse the seal or would I have buy another one?
You have to buy a new seal, as the seal helps with the 3d touch.
You’ll have to buy a replacement adhesive seal if you want better water resistance just note that the phone will not meet the water resistance rating due to being opened before. 3D Touch not working is due to one of the ribbon cables being ripped. This means that the screen must be replaced to fix this problem. I have the same problem with my iphone 7. When i replaced the battery the connection was loose and i thought there were something wrong with the software, then, i reseted the settings in my iphone and 3d touch was totally gone…… may be caused by faulty new battery or the battery wasn’t original?
