The power light on the front of the tv (usually red when in standby) is rapidly and erratically flickering white when plugged into the wall. It does not respond to remote or on-tv buttons. Screen is black and there is no sound whatsoever. This started yesterday when it was on and happened out of nowhere - no weather and no other electricals were affected. First suspicion as always is the fuse, but would the power light still even work? I don’t see anything odd on the boards, myself. Would trying to find a different power cable make sense? UPDATE: A different power cable was tried, and it did not help the issue at all. UPDATE 2: Confirmed not to be the fuse, as the power light circuit does not bypass it.
Hi @weckar , Here’s a link to the service manual for your TV. (I think) To download the file: When the sentence below the Document preview box changes from This file is downloadable free of charge: …processing… to This file is downloadable free of charge: Download, click on Download as this is the download link. Be patient it takes a little while to find the file. According to the description in the troubleshooting section found on p.19, you may have a No raster problem caused by a faulty VSC board or perhaps if no OSD is being displayed and the VSC board is OK, a faulty Control board. Their fault description differs slightly to yours as the LED is not mentioned as flickering Use the procedures, in the troubleshooting chart to check which it may be. Perhaps check that the +5V Standby voltage from the Power board is OK first before proceeding with the other checks, just in case it is not quite correct. Hopefully this is of some help.
