Chosen Solution

Hi all, I appreciate any help or guidance, as I am new to the world of Mac repair. Recently, I purchased a lot of Macs from a local yard sale. I got rid of all (a macbook and two iMacs 10/11) but one, being this late 2014 iMac with what seems to be a Intel 4GHz i7. The previous owner told me that he thought there was an issue with the display, so he ordered a new display (which he provided to me), but told me he never had the opportunity to repair it. After removing the screen and plugging it in, only LED #1 came on. After pressing the power button, nothing happened. I read some other postings and found a step by step deep dive that led me to the conclusion that I should test the power button, and if that works then replace the power supply. After doing both, the computer still doesn’t turn on. Is my next and/or only option just replacing the logic board? Is there anything else that I can test? Any guidance would be amazing as I’d love to use the computer for school work. Thanks!

Hard to say what is the problem is. At the point I think you need to seek out someone with deeper skills. Its possible the logic board could be repaired Vs replacing. In addition we don’t know the full history on what happened with the system. You might even have a simple cable failure.
