Hello, I have a 2019 iPad Pro that I bought 6 months ago. Up until this point I have not had a single problem. Today I realized that it had died so I plugged it in to charge and left it. I went to check on it a couple hours later and the red battery light was flashing. I unplugged it to see if it would cut on and nothing happened. I plugged it back in and the red battery light came back up then went away repetitively. This has been constant for 30 minutes now and the iPad will still not come on. Does anyone have any advise as to why this is happening?

Note: I have tried several different cables and adapters along with plugging it into a computer with the same result.

Have you used aftermarket charging cables? It sounds like you used a aftermarket charging cable that wasn’t MFI Certified and it can cause voltage spikes and damage the tristar ic which is the chip that controls charging and data transfer. It will need microsoldering repair. It’s probably under warranty and they will probably warranty but if it cannot be turned on you won’t be able to retrieve your data. Apple won’t retrieve data if the unit will not turn on. They usually swap your defective unit with another refurbished one.

If you have a Mac download Coconut Battery and install it. Plug your iPad into a USB port and run the APP and select the iPad. Post your results so we and take a good look at the iPad https://coconut-flavour.com/coconutbatte
