Chosen Solution

Hi, I have 13”, 2017, 2-Thunder bolt, Non Touch Bar MBP. The Internal SSD (500GB) has now failed to the point where the machine can’t even see the SSD in the disk utility. I’ve tried going through Apple, however they quoted £900 for the SSD replacement, which is bonkers and not worth it. (There is a replacement programme for the 128 & 250 SSDs but not the 500gb). Trying to find a replacement SSD to install myself seem hap-hazard as only second hand SSDs seem to be available. Do I have any other options other than a 2nd hand SSD? I have seen some suggestions about an adapter, but they were related to different machines. I would appreciate any help or advice. Thanks

Your options are limited here! Apple did their own thing with their SSD’s, creating their own SSD interface.
