I have a 2015 mbp 15” the keyboard and trac pad doesn’t work. Also the fan is running full blast after start up. Just did a fresh install of Mojave 14.6 “it was doing this before I updated it”. Any idea what could cause this? Update (08/02/2019) Hey well I bought it like this unfortunately. Another problem idk if it’s related but the Kernal_task is very high at over 400%
Most likely the battery is pressing up on the uppercase. Lets check the battery first. Install this gem of an app CoconutBattery. Post a snapshot of the main window so we can see it Adding images to an existing question Update (08/02/2019) OK, the battery is in great shape! Did you get it replaced recently? If you did did you do it or did you have someone do it for you? Depending on your answers you may need to return the system to the person who replaced the battery to get this fixed. At this point there is only two things that could explain your problem. Either the touchpad cable is damaged or the touchpad its self. This model uses a daisy chain setup where the keyboard cable connects to the touchpad and then the combined signals trade to the logic board within the touchpad cable to the logic board. Review this guide MacBook Pro 15" Retina Display Mid 2015 Battery Replacement. Jump down to Step 27 to disconnect the cable from the logic board (after first disconnecting the battery following Steps 1 through Step 5) then jump down to Step 46 to disconnect the other side. Here’s the needed part MacBook Pro 15" Retina (Mid 2015) Trackpad Cable. Hopefully just replacing the cable fixes things. If that failed to fix things you’ll need to replace the touchpad, that will require taking the battery out to get to the screws which hold it under the black plate.
