Hi everyone! I have a mid 2012 MacBook Pro 15 that’s exhibiting some strange behavior. If I plug in the laptop and let it go to sleep, then it will not power on ( fans spin for a half a second, status light turns on for the same amount of time then the whole laptop returns to a dead state). However, I have found that if I unplug the internal battery for about a week, then it works fine again until it falls asleep while charging. Probably something capacitor related, because it’s discharging, but I have no idea what. There was some minor corrosion that I cleaned up, but included pictures of where it took place.
