Chosen Solution
I have a 2012 Mac Pro that was working fine two days ago, it randomly shut off on me and when I tried booting it back up it did nothing, I waited a few hours with it unplugged and it turned back on, but then shut off halfway through bootup. im wondering what type of a issue this could be I noticed the diagnostic lights but there not much help the amber light for power comes on when I press the button, and the two red lights blink when I plug the cord in. any help is greatly appreciated! side note I have a bunch of first gen Mac pros and a g5 for parts but a lot of the stuff seems different and incompatible
On this model series the first thing that fails is the video card, next the power supply.
