2012 Jeep Liberty vents smell like anti freeze when heaters on only! No Leaks, just flushed, new thermostat, no water inside, getting plenty heat. Any ideas?

Hi Lee, that usually is a sign that the heater core is leaking and requires a replacement. In order to do that the dash needs to be pulled and is a pretty labor intensive job.

My mechanic told me that the vents get mildew in them. He suggested spraying Lysol into the intake vents, which are on the outside, just under the windshield wipers. I just tried that and put on the ventilation system. Not sure if it worked yet…..
