I am fixing a 2011 mac pro for someone. So heres the cheese: it boots up to the normal apple logo and then I get about 20% on the loading screen and lines of code start scrolling across the screen, then it blacks out and the GPU fan just guns it for about 5 seconds then it just repeats over and over and over and over and over
I’d start by pulling the hard drives and booting externally from a Sierra installed drive and see if the issue is hardware or software related.
