Hey all, I have an early 2008 2.8GHz C2D iMac, and my wifi card is starting to give out on me. This would make sense, as it’s the original card that the system came with, and it is 10 years old! I wanted to know if I could replace my old card with the Airport Extreme card found in the ‘09, ‘10, and ‘11 iMac models. I figure if I’m going to replace it, I might as well go with a slightly newer model that would fit the airport connector on my Mac. Any advice would be appreciated.
Here’s the needed parts: iMac 2007 and iMac 2008 – Apple Broadcom BCM94360CD – 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac with Bluetooth 4.0 Do keep in mind your system can’t support the newer MacOS’s, OS-X El Capitan 10.11.x is as high as you can go.
