2005 kia optima lx put new fuel pump and fuel relay on it, but can’t the pump to come on.
Hello Earnest, It sounds like the pump is not getting power. Don’t blow yourself up! Try putting a multimeter on the connector at the pump and turning the ignition on. If it does have voltage then it might be bad connection off the connector or a bad replacement pump. If it’s not getting power then the harness run may have failed. Try to find where the run sources off the main electrical harness and multimeter test there. If it’s the long run to the fuel tank you can splice in some heavy speaker wire. If not, check the input points to the fuel pump relay. If there’s no power there than it would be an issue with the fusebox or main harness. Cheers
