Chosen Solution
I have a 2001 Pontiac grand am and just had my CV axle and transmission changed. All my fluids are full and there are no leaks under the car or on the hoses and pump. There is no weird noise coming from the power steering pump or anywhere under the hood. Sometimes when driving I can feel it pulling to left and right then it tries to correct itself. With a glitch kind of process. I’m lost on what the problem maybe and I have searched on Google for 5 hours trying to find a solution to solve this big mystery can anyone help please??????
This would seem to be a very difficult question to answer, since you have covered almost all the bases already. Are you sure the power steering pump pulley is turning? Is the pulley turning the input shaft on the pump? If all of that is true, then you may have a bad power steering pump, power steering valve, or a bad power steering actuator. I found some more specific information on the following site. http://forums.edmunds.com/discussion/840…
