I was having this issue with both an iPhone 6s and an iPhone 6. I replaced the wifi antennae on the iPhone 6, which fixed the problem perfectly. However, with the 6s I’ve replaced both the top-left antennae and the wifi diversity antennae cable. Neither fixed the issue. I see the 2.4ghz wifi networks, but it won’t accept my password and connect. Bluetooth works within about 6”, but anything beyond that cuts out. Ideas ?
It might be a bad WiFi antenna. Or something might not be screwed in correctly. Those antennas need to be in the same exact position as they were before.
