Frustrated to find that after having my 3 yr extended warranty expired, now to see my laptop housing bulging. My battery is not covered in recall(?!). With current virus happening, I’ve no way of getting it serviced. Question is…If I can remove/disable the battery, will the laptop operate using the power supply only? Thanks. Noel
To find out, disconnect the battery from your logic board, plug the mag-safe in and see if it runs. See step #6 of this guide: MacBook Pro 13" Retina Display Early 2015 Battery Replacement
